What it is

Proof that papers were mailed

FL-335 is signed by someone at least 18, not a party, who lives or works in the county where the mailing took place. It lists the papers served, the person and address, and the date and place of mailing. It cites Code of Civil Procedure sections 1013 and 1013a.

When it is used

Not for temporary restraining orders

The form’s notice says temporary restraining orders must be served personally, using FL-330.

  • A temporary restraining order is served by mail; the form says to use personal service (FL-330).
  • Item 3 does not name the documents mailed.
