Legal Hub Group in Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your AI assistant to your Legal Hub Group account. Check court papers with Lexary, see the courts we file in and your prices, follow your filings and serve orders, and start drafts — then review, pay and submit them on Legal Hub Group.

What your assistant can do

  • Check court papers with Lexary. The same free check as "Check my documents": blank caption fields, a missing case number, court name or address, missing signatures or dates, wrong or mismatched forms, missing pages — with what to change, the court and case read from the papers, and whether we e-file there.
  • Courts and prices. The California courts we e-file in, by county and kind of case, and your firm's own prices for e-filing, serving in person and service by mail.
  • Status. Your firm's e-filings (drafts, under court review, accepted, rejected with the court's reason) and serve orders (assigned, in progress, served, attempts).
  • Start an e-filing draft. From your papers, filled in by Lexary the same way as "Start from your document": the court, new or existing case, the case number, the parties and the document titles.
  • Start a serve-order draft. In person or by mail, for one person or business, with your papers attached.

What it never does

Your assistant cannot submit anything to a court, place a serve order, or charge, pay or move money. Every draft ends with a link to Legal Hub Group, where you check each step, see the fees, and submit yourself.

Set it up

  1. You need a Legal Hub Group account on app.legalhubgroup.com. No account yet? Sign up.
  2. Claude: Settings → Connectors → find Legal Hub Group (or Add custom connector with the address https://app.legalhubgroup.com/mcp) → Connect.
ChatGPT: find Legal Hub Group among the apps (or add a custom app with the same address) → Connect.
  3. Sign in to Legal Hub Group and press Allow.

Each person connects their own account. The assistant sees only what you can see in your firm's account, and a view-only user's assistant can look but not start anything.

Your papers

In ChatGPT, attach your PDFs to the chat. Claude cannot hand a file to a connector, so your assistant gives you a one-time Legal Hub Group link: open it, add your papers (up to 10 PDFs, Word documents or photos, 25 MB each), press Upload, and tell your assistant you're done. The link works for one hour and only for you.

Try asking

  • "Check this complaint with Lexary before I file it."
  • "Which of my filings were rejected this month, and why?"
  • "Do you e-file family law cases in Santa Clara County, and what does it cost?"
  • "Start an e-filing draft from these papers."
  • "Set up a serve order by mail on Sam Example at 456 Sample Road, Sacramento, CA 95814 for this notice of motion."

Disconnect

Open the menu with your name (top right) → AI assistants → Disconnect, or remove the connector in your assistant's settings. Access ends at once. Changing your password also disconnects every assistant.

Your data

  • We receive only what your assistant sends for these actions: the papers you give it and the details of a draft. We never receive your conversation.
  • Papers are saved in your account like any upload and read by an automated service to check them and fill in drafts.
  • Sign-in keys are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form. All traffic is over HTTPS.
  • Lexary's check looks for the problems court clerks reject filings for. It is not legal advice.
  • See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Price

The connector and Lexary's check are free. Filings and serve orders cost what they cost on Legal Hub Group (e-filing, process serving).
