FL-110 tells the respondent they have been sued and have 30 calendar days after the summons and petition are served to file a Response (FL-120) and have a copy served on the petitioner. It warns that a letter, phone call or court appearance will not protect them. It cites Family Code sections including 232, 233, 2024.7 and 2040 and Code of Civil Procedure section 412.20.
